Today marks the end of an era. Over half a century ago, a man and a woman began an incredible journey. Both of them gifted with magic hands, they combined her beautiful, loving heart with his charisma and strong, business-minded ambitions. They made the world shine for 53 years. Together. Their salon was filled with incredible love, loyalty and laughter. It became a place where generations of families came, shared their stories and developed relationships that words cannot adequately describe their depths. Every moment felt like family, between employees and clients alike. Incredibly joyful times as well as heartache. We all went through the ups and downs of life, as a family does. Together. My parents, Linda & Nunzio, built Hair to Stay from the ground up. They started with nothing and ended with a legacy that most dream of, but few can achieve. They did it together. (Apart is when the world seems to crumble.) So, today. July 20th. I must do the same as they did for all of those years. I must take every single positive they have instilled in me ~ love, passion, respect ~ and turn it into my dreams. A little girl named Rosalia, growing up in the salon world, watching her parents magic at work by day, and dreaming of one day bringing her own magic to life at night. Alia Rose. The gift within the gift. Hair to Stay was the gift that brought us all together. Alia Rose will be the gift to keep us together. Each of the girls, my friends, my brothers, my husband and our two boys have literally carried me through this time. Making my dream come to life in four short days. I have heard the most inspiring sentiments shared and all of that love has given me the confidence and pride to take this tremendous leap of faith. For that reason, I will let that love and support calm any uncertainty, and believe in all that is beautiful to keep us together. Love, Lia
